HBU’s under 11 team travelled to Peterborough for their third Eastern Counties tournament of the season, won all 3 of their matches by significant margins and consolidate their position at the head of the table.

In the first match they allowed Peterborough to score first but were 4 – 2 up at half-time and ran out comfortable 9 – 2 winners. Next came King’s Lynn with HBU winning 10 – 2 and finally Grimsby with a 14 – 1 score-line in favour of HBU.

The results were delivered initially by strong individual performances by the players building into the team game that delivered the best result of the day against the strongest opponents, Grimsby.

The younger players in the team came on strongly. Archie Isaacs gets man of the match. Max Bassom was denied getting on the score sheet as his goal was recorded against another number. A Kings Lynn own-goal completed HBU’s tally of 33 goals.
