It was good that the first match was against Maidstone and it was even-Stevens. Probably because Max is used to playing with better players he was a fish out of water and he only scored once when it could have been at least 12! Our players need to gain the understanding of what it is to be in a match but otherwise I think they did very well. We lost 1-2.

Against Herne Bay we lost 7-0. One good player can make all the difference at this level and that player was Jamie Tritton. Even so, our players got some good tackles in and I could see them getting the idea.

They all enjoyed the experience and will be looking forward to next time. Harrison did a sterling job in goal, especially as it is completely new to him. He defended his area well, cleared loose balls and nothing silly went in and for that I award him man of the match.
