HBU Youth Academy’s Under 9’s do HBU proud
Herne Bay United’s (HBU) novice U9 squad took part in a South Eastern Counties Roller Hockey (SECRHA) tournament at the Bay Arena on Sunday 29 April. These tournaments are part of SECRHA’s development plan to get players participating from a young age. They played 3 matches against 2 teams from the Herne Bay club and one from Maidstone.

Along with novice goalkeeper Harrison Raven, HBU put out 8 U9 players per match from a total squad of 13 and managed to keep their noses in front to win their matches 3 – 2 (Herne Bay A), 6 – 3 (Maidstone) and 3 – 0 (Herne Bay B).
