Congratulations to Lewis Greenwood on his selection for the England u17 roller hockey team who’ll compete in the European Schoolboy Championships in Ploufragan, France in August 2012. Lewis at 14 years is the youngest player to make the team and also the only one of the eight outfield players to come from the South of England. (All other outfield players being from either Bury & Kings Lynn clubs). Lewis started playing roller hockey with Herne Bay United at the Pier, when he was 6 years old. Well done & good luck to Lewis.
Congratulations also go to Invicta’s Luke Latham on his selection as a reserve player for the team and Guy Osbourne from Herne Bay RHC who succeeded in gaining one of the two goalkeeper spots.
