SUPER SKATER KYM SUCCEEDS WITH GB SELECTION
Equally at home on Ice or Roller skates the incredible success of Skater Kym Marsh continues ! Local super skater Kym Marsh has just been selected to represent G.B at the European Roller Skating Championships in September in Portugal and at the World Roller Skating Championships in November in China. Kym won the selection after her amazing performance at this weekends British Roller Dance Championships in Hayward Heath. Wowing the judges and audience with some amazing routines she placed 2nd overall scoring the most points but missing out on the title by a 3 to 2 split on the judges placings after winning the compulsory dance section. Kym who is trained by former ice and roller skating Champions Ashley and Angela Moore at the Bury St Edmunds based Skatecrazy Skating School and also represents the Herne Bay United Club has benefitted also this year by training in Italy with National coaches Fabio Hollan and Mario Vitta and Elvia Levi. It has been a very expensive season so far for Kym and with trips and training for the European and World Championships ahead of her which have to be paid for entirely at her own expense she is looking for help with sponsorship to be able to go ahead and represent her country. Coach Ashley Moore says “It has been a fantastic year of sport this year following on from the London Olympic Games and people assume that when you represent your country everything is paid for but sadly in our non-Olympic sport we receive absolutely no funding. Kym is a very rare and exceptional talent and she is capable of playing her part in continuing the success of British sports in 2013 and beyond and it would be a tragedy for us not to be able to continue Kyms inspirational journey due to lack of funds” Anyone interested in helping please contact coach Ashley Moore on 01284 753137 or email ashley@skatecrazy.co.uk
