Following in a long line of successes, Herne Bay United’s latest crop of young roller hockey players have gained National recognition by being selected to represent England.
Herne Bay United have a history of developing players through the club’s youth teams, enabling them to go on an represent their country at the highest level.
This crop of players are no strangers to success having been part of the National Cup winning Under/17 last season & hoping to retain the cup this year.
This year’s England stars are Eddie Mount, a goal-keeper who has established himself as HBU No1 this season. Eddie will be representing England at the Under/20 European Championships in Portugal.
Making his England debut is Josh Branchett who will represent England Under 17 at the European Championships in France. Accompanying him is Alex Mount. Alex has a busy period ahead of him having been selected at Under/17 and Under/20 level.
All three are now part of the HBU senior squad who finished 3rd in the National Premier League.
HBU congratulate the lads on their achievements.
